As impressive as the crypto market’s growth has been, there still remains many major hurdles to overcome. One such challenge being mass adoption by the general public. As of 2020, the global estimated number of crypto users had only passed 100 million, according to business insider, despite a total of 4.6 billion internet users worldwide. Of these crypto users, an even smaller fraction use cryptocurrency for anything other than savings, trading or money transfer.
Also, not to sow seeds of distrust, but the NFT market has seen its fair share of intellectual property theft, fraud schemes, and poorly designed projects providing little value to either the art world or crypto community . Finally, an even greater challenge are the over-bearing government laws and strict security policies against cryptocurrencies, which continue to impede integrative blockchain projects across the globe.
